Trailrope is produced four times a year. The subject matter is quite diverse covering items of historical interest, news, acquisitions, photos of the "old" balloons still active and useful contacts. Trailrope is included as part of the "Friends" membership (a form for joining is included under the Membership section). From time to time requests are made for help and members are always grateful to receive support. If you have an article that Trailrope could use or publish on ballooning, please contact the editor. Articles in Trailrope Issue 69, are as usual, varied and contain something for everyone. With little flying activity, there is a lot of news regarding the museum. Inflation Day heads the items with a page on details, please read them if you are going. The opening of the new West Berkshire Museum display is covered and a request for someone to take over the sales of garments from Bill Teasdale. Ther is an article on the Siege of Paris Balloons, Russian Airships and gas balloon G-AWGF included in this issue. Tidy up with some Chateau d’Oex Oldie Balloons and oldies at Albuquerque Balloon Fieta, remind you of what may appear at the Inflation Day. |
